This style of camp will suit the person who wants to feel that they are really sleeping in “the wild”. Trail camps offer small dome tents with two stretcher style camp beds and a 12v lantern to supply light. A canvas washbasin positioned outside every tent allows for basic ablutions. Shared bucket shower facilities are erected within a short distance from the tents. Basic long-drop toilets are attached to each tent or located a short distance away. Often these camps are erected especially for the trip, or they may be seasonal and are taken down and moved according to the time of the year. There are no permanent facilities for charging batteries so all charging is done through an inverter connected to the game drive vehicle.
