To encounter and photograph wildlife from a vehicle or boat is one thing, but to drift silently in a hot air balloon above scattered herds of game, looking down upon pods of hippos, the experience literally takes on an entirely new dimension.

Patterns in the grass, of game trails and fires that would otherwise remain hidden, are revealed, and offer some strikingly abstract images from the sky. The sheer magnitude and remoteness of the area also becomes apparent, and gives an insight into the vastness of Africa’s last remaining wilderness areas.
